6Beispiele: Skalarprodukt

1.

Zeichnung

Es sind die Vektoren

a=(28)\vec{a} = \begin{pmatrix}2\\8\end{pmatrix} und b=(41)\vec{b} = \begin{pmatrix}4\\-1\end{pmatrix}

gegeben. Man soll das Skalarprodukt bestimmen und daraus schließen, ob die beiden Vektoren zueinander orthogonal sind.

ab=(28)(41)=24+8(1)=88=0\vec a\circ\vec b= \begin{pmatrix}2\\8\end{pmatrix} \circ\begin{pmatrix}4\\-1\end{pmatrix} = 2 \cdot 4 + 8 \cdot (-1) = 8 - 8 =0

Man hat die Punkte

P(59),Q(31),R(12)P(5|9), Q(3|1), R(-1|-2) und S(33)S(3|-3)

gegeben. Nun soll überprüft werden, ob die Vektoren QP\overrightarrow{QP} und RS\overrightarrow{RS} orthogonal zueinander sind.

Zunächst werden die Vektoren QP\overrightarrow{QP} und RS\overrightarrow{RS} berechnet. Das Skalarprodukt wird ganz normal berechnet.

QP=(59)(31)=(28)\overrightarrow{QP} =\begin{pmatrix}5\\9\end{pmatrix} - \begin{pmatrix}3\\1\end{pmatrix} = \begin{pmatrix}2\\8\end{pmatrix}

RS=(33)(12)=(41)\overrightarrow{RS} = \begin{pmatrix}3\\-3\end{pmatrix}-\begin{pmatrix}-1\\-2\end{pmatrix} = \begin{pmatrix}4\\-1\end{pmatrix}

Das Skalarprodukt berechnet sich dann wie in Beispiel 1. oben durch

QPRS=(28)(41)=0\overrightarrow{QP} \circ \overrightarrow{RS} = \begin{pmatrix}2\\8\end{pmatrix} \circ \begin{pmatrix}4\\-1\end{pmatrix}= 0

3.

Es sind die Vektoren

c=(13)\vec{c} = \begin{pmatrix}-1\\-3\end{pmatrix} und d=(24)\vec{d} = \begin{pmatrix}2\\4\end{pmatrix}

gegeben. Man soll das Skalarprodukt bestimmen und daraus schließen, ob die beiden Vektoren zueinander orthogonal sind.

cd=(13)(24)=(1)2+(3)4=(2)+(12)=14\vec c\circ\vec d= \begin{pmatrix}-1\\-3\end{pmatrix} \circ\begin{pmatrix}2\\4\end{pmatrix} = (-1) \cdot 2 + (-3) \cdot 4 = (-2) + (-12) =-14

Demnach sind die beiden Vektoren nicht orthogonal zueinander.
